Red Passion Writings

A collection of short stories and poems from a queer romance writer

JACARANDAS

Avenues of gnarled
Old Jacarandas
Bare spreading branches
Sprays of iridescent mauve flowers
Blossom in a carpet beneath

I head down the avenue
Colour above me
Colour below me
Bright blue sky
Spring in Brisbane

  1. Great photos and I like the poem, too 🙂 Unfortunately, we get lots of frost in winter here in Victoria and my Jacaranda didn’t make it 😦
